Men born in or before 2005 are draftees obliged to take compulsory military service. According to the law, if you have not yet fulfilled your military service duties, you must apply and receive exit permit before traveling abroad. Draftees can apply for short-term exit permit through our website (https://www.ris.gov.tw/departure/). Once approved, the permit is valid for multiple exits within one month from the date of approval, without the need to reapply for each trip.
